The date was Friday 23 June and the location was the Bristol and Bath Science Park; at 10:00am our delegates arrived for a day of learning, networking and hospitality – Nebula style.
On the agenda was a session on modernisation in the workplace using intelligent cloud solutions and another on modern collaboration strategies using Microsoft Teams. The learning would be completed with an enlightening exploration of Business Power Apps (more on that later).
As well as our own team, we had drafted in experts from one of our leading technology partners, Westcoast IT. In this capacity we welcomed David Cox, Tom Hayward and Toby Coates.
Down to business
After arrival refreshments and introductions, it was down to business with a look at the latest developments in Azure Modern Workplace. We explored how it could improve productivity, enhance communication and facilitate collaboration no matter where your team are based in the UK, or, indeed, the World.
Lunch followed, and having so many wonderful businesses in the room we were keen to allow time and space for networking, so that the delegates could connect and draw even more benefits from the day.
Getting more out of MS Teams
Our first afternoon session was focused on MS Teams and the full range of functionality it offers to businesses. Since the pandemic, we have all become (perhaps) overly familiar with video meetings, but MS Teams offers so much in addition to this.
Our delegates on the day learned how they could get ever more out of MS Teams, helping to drive collaboration and ultimately productivity.
The final session of the event shone a spotlight on Microsoft Business Power Apps. These are a great tool for companies wishing to implement rapid technological fixes to business challenges without drawing heavily on developer time. Think creating a simple app which will allow field sales people to quickly sign up customers to their CRM, or to allow an HR team to use a custom holiday request management system.
Future events
Our managing director, Chris Pottrell, was delighted at this complimentary day we were able to lay on for businesses in Bristol and the South West:
“Technology, and what it can achieve, is constantly changing. I see a large part of our role as a managed service provider in Bristol as educating businesses about how technology can help them reach or smash their targets. Events such as Elevate Pathways are just one way in which we are able to do this. We are always available at the end of the phone to have those initial conversations about how technology can help, whether you are seeking to work with a managed service provider for the first time, or want to switch companies.”

Chris Pottrell – Nebula It
“The nebula Elevate Pathways event at the Bristol and Bath Science Park was really valuable. It was good to catch up with the nebula team, the speakers from Westcoast were engaging and informative. It was a good opportunity to meet other nebula clients too. It is great to work with an MSP who organise these ‘value add’ events, it goes above and beyond what many others would do. I’m looking forward to the next one…”
Hugo Armitage from HAT Technologies
“As a regular participant in various IT and cybersecurity webinars, I have to say, the recent webinar on Azure Sentinel, Power Platform and Microsoft Teams was nothing short of enlightening. The content was both engaging and insightful, filled with valuable information that catered not only to the seasoned professionals but also those relatively new in this domain.”
“The level of interaction and engagement throughout the webinar deserves a special mention. The presenters were welcoming of questions, encouraged participation, and made sure the concepts were thoroughly understood. This created an environment that was not just informative, but also conducive for a beneficial exchange of knowledge.”
Overall, this webinar has elevated my understanding of Azure Sentinel, Power Platform and Microsoft Teams, equipping me with the knowledge to exploit these tools’ features to their maximum potential. I highly recommend such informative sessions to anyone keen to stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field of cybersecurity and collaboration tools.”
