Our culture & values at Nebula

Over more than a decade, we have crafted a culture at Nebula that we are proud of as it has evolved with the company. It makes our business a happy, dynamic space to work in; recognises our community and our responsibilities towards it; and delivers excellent service to our customers.

A positive culture is vital for binding a company together and helping it make wise decisions. Ours is adaptable, and moves with the times – and the times are moving fast. Nevertheless, we have identified these four building blocks on which it is always based.

Adaptive

Our team hold adaptiveness as a core value because it underlines a proactive approach to dealing with challenges, uncertainties, and opportunities in the ever-evolving technology and business environment.

Caring

We adopt “Caring” as a core value because of our commitment to a genuine concern and responsibility for the well-being of our employees, customers, and the broader community we serve.

Dedicated

Dedication as a company value embodies our collective resolve to persevere towards excellence, embodying a spirit of loyalty, hard work, and an unwavering focus on achieving meaningful objectives.

Energetic

Incorporating “Energetic” as a core value reflects that we are not just about doing things but doing them with vigour, enthusiasm, and a persistent drive for excellence.

Why culture is important at Nebula

As the owner of Nebula IT, I believe our values and culture are fundamental to our success. Since founding the company in 2012, we have grown to be leading Managed IT and Cyber Security partner, thanks to our incredible team and shared vision.

Our core values guide every decision we make. These values shape our recruitment, employee development, partnerships, and charitable initiatives. We strive to be adaptable in a constantly evolving industry, caring towards our employees and community, energetic in our pursuit of excellence, and dedicated to protecting businesses with our technical expertise.

Charitable work is integral to our culture. Each year, our team selects a local charity to support through fundraising activities, such as cycling challenges and Tough Mudders. In 2024, we are supporting “Community of Purpose,” helping at-risk children in Bristol. Our team is volunteering their time during school holidays to support these children, reflecting our caring nature and community spirit.

We consistently communicate our values through quarterly meetings, ensuring everyone is aligned with our goals and vision. This ongoing dialogue helps our team internalise our core principles, influencing their daily actions and decisions.

We take pride in developing our team from within, investing in training and promoting our employees. Our apprenticeship program has been particularly successful, with 90% of apprentices since 2012 still with us, some in leadership roles. This commitment to nurturing talent demonstrates our dedication to fostering growth within the organisation.
