Last October, six of us at Nebula IT bravely threw ourselves out of a plane to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. And we are pleased to report that our skydive was a great success.
In fact, it wasn’t just us that soared last year but our donations did too! With your generous support, we were able to raise £2,540.97.
This money is enough to pay for a small Macmillan cancer information and support centre for one week or a Macmillan support worker for one month. Macmillan support workers are a vital part of the Macmillan team. They are often the first point of contact, redirecting patients to healthcare specialists for practical, informational, and emotional support needs.

Our 2019 charity of the year: The British Heart Foundation
We may have landed safely back to earth, but our sights are still raised high. This year we will be collecting money for The British Heart Foundation (BHF), which we have selected as the Nebula IT charity of 2019.
Did you know that heart and circulatory disease kills more than one in four people in the UK? Heart health is important to us all, and BHF has dedicated over 50 years of research to help save lives. However, they rely entirely on supporters like you to fund their research!
This year we would like to raise £2,000 to fund research projects and equipment for The British Heart Foundation. Every £100 raised could pay for a day of research by an early career, post-doctoral scientist. And every day of research brings us closer to the day we beat heart disease for good.
“How do we top skydiving?”, you might be wondering. Well, instead of doing one main event this year, our aim is to do several fundraisers to help raise and maintain awareness throughout the year.

Whether it be a sponsored bike ride, cake sale or something a bit more extreme! We hope that by spreading our fundraising over the year we will be able to continually raise awareness for this excellent cause.
